Secular State?
A Secular State is State which is neutral in matter of religion. The government does not align itself with any particular religious belief. State ensures equal treatment to individuals of all religion, most of the countries in the World are secular state, a few states are following particular religion. Example: Iran, Iraq, Myanmar, these countries are following Islamic religion officialy.
Key characteristics of a secular state:
Religious Neutrality: The government does not favor or endorse any particular religion. It remains impartial and treats all citizens equally, regardless of their religious affiliations.
Freedom of Religion: A secular state typically upholds the principle of freedom of religion or belief. Citizens have the right to practice any religion of their choice, and the government does not interfere with their religious practices unless it poses a threat to public order or other fundamental rights.
Separation of Church and State: There is a clear distinction between religious institutions and the government. Religious authorities do not hold direct political power, and the government does not involve itself in religious matters.
Equal Treatment: All citizens, regardless of their religious beliefs, are entitled to the same rights and protections under the law. Discrimination on the basis of religion is not tolerated.
Secular Education: The education system is often secular, meaning that it is not influenced or controlled by religious institutions. Public education typically focuses on providing a neutral and inclusive environment for students of various religious backgrounds.
